Redemption

The Easter season is here...

The season brings many thoughts to my mind...

Just where am I going to find 2 pairs of black dress pants for the boys?
What about white shoes for the girls?
Oh, wait, I need something to wear too!?!
Filling four Easter baskets is expensive!
These have been the thoughts in my silly head for the past few days. But then came this song.
This song I heard a few weeks ago that just spoke directly to my heart. This song has caused me to remember what Easter is all about.
It's a song about redemption. I looked up the word redemption today and read the following:
the act of redeeming; deliverance; rescue; salvation
If you or I made a list of the things we need to be delivered from, rescued from, saved from, I wonder how long that list would be? I know that my list would be a lengthy list of all of the things I struggle with, the parts of my life I wish were different, the choices I've made that I regret, the things I've said that I wish I could take back, the fear that grips my heart...oh this list could go on and on.
The greatest thing about my list though? God knows each and every thing on my list. He knows it and he loves me anyway. The same can be said for you, for all of us. For each and every one who accepts God as their savior, He willingly accepts you no matter if your list is numbered 1-10 or 1-100!
His perfect love redeems every last piece of you. Once this happens you can let go of the world's desire for you to be perfect. For God takes your brokenness and in His time makes all things good according to His purpose.
This is what Easter needs to be about in my heart. God sent His son to die on the cross for me, for you, and by doing so He redeemed us all.
So, the song. You can listen to it here (don't forget to turn on your volume).
Ephesians 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
in accordance with the riches of God's grace

The Best Easter Ever!

Today was one of the happiest days the Williams family has ever had. We decided that Brady was well enough to go to church, so all 6 of us did! He did amazing and never complained of pain at all! He even played in the nursery (with grandma close by his side just in case!) After church we came home and the kids got a quick nap. My mom and mother in law had planned Easter dinner since we weren't supposed to be home. We had a wonderful dinner with all the grandparents, my brother, and his family. It was awesome to see all 6 cousins (all under 2 1/2 remember!) playing together. Brady toddled around the house behind his walking toys all day! He climbed up the slide, went down the slide, and giggled and laughed.

Happy Easter to all!
Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Happy Easter!

We wanted to take this chance to wish everyone a Happy Easter! We look forward to being together to celebrate Resurrection Sunday and give thanks with our family for the miracles God has performed in our lives. We pray these pictures will remind you of God's provision for our family. They show Brady before surgery, in the days after, a picture with Dr. Laquaglia, and a few since we have been home. We got a surprise call today from the Easter bunny who wanted to come and visit us! The kids were just in awe and we had a wonderful time! THANK YOU EASTER BUNNY! Brady of course was the least afraid, he snuggled right up to that bunny and never really let go! Precious memories for sure. Brady is stunning us with his recovery. Other than being tired a few times, he played today like any other day. He walked behind a push toy for over an hour! At one point this morning he stood up next to me, let go of my shoulder, and just started dancing! Imagine that we were supposed to be in the hospital for at least another week or two!

As far as what is next, we have to go back to NYC for a quick surgical follow up in 2 weeks. Then we will repeat the CAT scans in 4-6 weeks. We are not sure if we will do those locally, or at Sloan. The NB doctor we spoke to on Friday told us that in most cases like Brady's, no further treatment will be necessary! If that is the case, we would then be in a monitoring phase where scans every few months would be required. So, the waiting and journey continue. For today, let us all look to God and be in awe of His grace and goodness! Happy Easter!

The Plan is There is No Plan

No news yet on when our appointment will be. I called this afternoon, frustrated because I hadn't heard from them. I got the same old answer...they are working on their schedule still and as soon as they know, we will know. I guess because we are doing the consult and surgery in the same trip, there is a lot more coordination that has to take place. So we wait...

Not too much else going on today. I ran some errands and got the kids some things for Easter. Even though we all won't be together, I want the kids to look their best for church on Easter Sunday morning:)

I'm really hoping to maybe hear from Sloan tomorrow, or else the weekend will be here again. Please continue to pray for our Brady. We are praying that the tumor is stable during this waiting period...
