If you are still reading the blog at this point, thank you! Surely only words for about the past month had to be quite boring. I’ve received more than a few messages telling me how some of you have missed pictures of the kids. I can take a hint…less typing, more pictures!
Without further ado!
Fun with our friend Jessica!
We had a tiny tea party and ate some goldfish crackers.
The kids have really been practicing doing puzzles. While just a few months ago they were doing the big block kind, now they are doing 25 piece puzzles all by themselves!
Allie loves to ride in the Cozy Coupe and peddles around in circles like Fred Flintstone!
Grandma Sandy and Brady were having fun as Brady went down the hill in the driveway…right into a plot of day lilies!
And last but not least, my handsome, chubby-cheeked pirate Eli!
I’m in overdrive this week as I balance being a mommy, working from home, preparing for our garage sale, and everything else that life has to offer. The kids continue to make great strides with potty training. Eli and Cara are almost completely trained. I’ve been trying a new approach with Brady. I call it the Hands Off approach. He has desperately wanted to wear undies like his brother, so we let him, but with a pull-up underneath. When Eli goes potty, I ask Brady to go too. And most of the time he does! For a while he would just sit there, but he is starting to go on the potty about 50% of the time. I’m not pressuring and he isn’t resisting, so this method seems to be right for him. I’m so proud of the progress he is making, and we aren’t butting heads!
I hope you enjoyed the pictures!
Good pictures, good news about the potty training----what more can we ask?!!! Wishing you a $ucce$$ful garage sale!

Your writing? Boring? Never! But it is great to see the pics. I'm sure they've grown while you've been camera-less!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Cara, Eli AND Brady and their toilet training achievements. You deserve a medal for bravery as it took me how many years to toilet train ONE child? :)

Sounds like you found a great approach with potty training Brady. You sound like a great mom!
ReplyDeleteThank for the pics! Great as ever! I can't believe how they have grown. You are right, Brady is his own little man, and needs to know that he is in control with all that has happened to him.
ReplyDeleteYou are a great Mom in Christ!
Love ya,
Deb R.
Oh those beautiful babies! You Megan are not boring at all. You create pictures with your words. Truly you are blessed with the gift of writing. Good to hear that your having success with Brady. Potty training can be very stressful for mother and child. Brady has had so many things happen in his little life that he has had no control over, so using the potty is something only he can do. He can contorl whether or not he uses it. He will come along side his siblings it will just be when he decides. I continue to pray for you all daily.
