Joshua 1:9

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

I'm feeling so terrified and so discouraged today. The world of cancer is a scary, unpredictable one. It is agonizing to have your child be in the middle of such a world. My heart has never felt so broken, but still I can feel that hope somewhere inside.

Thank you God for the truth in Your word. Thank you for this verse. Please make me the strongest most courageous mom I can be. I trust that You will be with me wherever I go...You'll be with me as I kiss my sweet babies goodbye, You'll be with me as I hold Brady on the airplane knowing where we are going, You'll be with me as I walk to the hospital with him on April 6th, and You'll be with me as I sit and wait during his surgery. Thank you for your promises, and thank you that they are true for me, for Brady, and for everyone who trusts in You. Amen

  1. Megan-Your honesty is so awesome. Everyone always asks about Brady and this blog is amazing to keep us all up-to-date & I also share with people how inspiring your faith has been through all of this. Praise God for using you to reach so many others. Who knows how many people will come to the kingdome of God b/c of you and precious Brady. - Continued Prayers - Julie B

  3. My mommy heart is breaking for you. i feel your pain, fear and frustration. We all only wish we could take this from your family, we feel so helpless. If only there was some magical tough mommy skin we could zip on and off, to numb the pain. But i suppose what really makes a mom is the aching, crying, praying, holding, messaging, whispering, promising, singing, cradling, hoping, instilling peace, comfort and dreams we pour into those little beings. if we were toughed skin we wouldn't connect and really know or feel our children. Megan, just a mustard seed of faith, just a tiny, tiny little bit. He's not asking for you to be supermom, although you feel like you are and have to be..he's asking you to fall back in His arms and rest and trust, let Him carry you. You need to pamper yourself, maybe watch a funny movie. "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine!" love to you:)

  4. Love this verse. God knew we would face times like this so He wants to make sure we always know how close He is to us through it all. We always come out stronger on the other side. He is so awesome! You may be scared now but you'll be strong when you need to be, I just know it.

Continually praying for you and that sweet little boy,
    Allison

  8. I don't know who you are "anonymous" that keeps posting about what they will or will not use for transportation for their son in NYC BUT...I just want to say you are so out of line. You obviously have no business reading this blog or really any care or concern for this family except to publicly judge their choices.
You "anonymous" should be ashamed of yourself. Stop coming here, and stop posting. There is no room on this blog for your insensitive comments and evil that looms with you.

With that said...Meg & Matt you are FABULOUS parents and everyone knows you hold all of your children's safety close to your heart. NO ONE IS JUDGING YOU!! We all love you and will continue to cast our prayers and well wishes towards Brady and your family through this unwanted journey. Love you guys,

  9. I have not posted ever until today; and how could I not. As a mom, I sit with tears running down my cheeks after reading your most intimate words to our Father. No Mother should have to fear the way you are-thankfully you do have your faith-and so strong it is. Please know you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers in these hours, days, weeks, months and years ahead.

Your family is beautiful and you will be reunited with all of them soon-but for now the Lord has work for you and Brady to do.

Love ans hugs sent to your from across the miles.....Deb Mathy; Green, Bay, WI
